Dr. Anzalone has been President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of the Company since December 1, 2007, and now also serves as Chairman of the Board. 

In 2005, he was founder and CEO of the Benet Group LLC, a private equity firm focused on creating and building new nano-biotechnology companies from university-generated science. Prior to Dr. Anzalone’s tenure at the Benet Group, he was a partner at the Washington DC-based private equity firm of Galway Partners, LLC, where he was responsible for sourcing, structuring, and building new business ventures.

Earlier, Dr. Anzalone was an NIH-supported postdoctoral fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Smithsonian Institution’s Conservation and Research Center. He holds a PhD in Biology from UCLA and a BA in Government from Lawrence University.
