Taking On Diseases With Unmet Needs
Our ambitions are simple: to bring hope to people through innovative medicine. We’re exploring many therapeutic areas to bring more treatment options to the patients who need them most.
Cardiometabolic
Cardiometabolic conditions are common in the U.S., and have been increasing in the past decade. It’s estimated that 47 million people suffer from a cardiometabolic condition, which represent a cluster of interrelated risk factors, such as hypertension, elevated blood sugar, and more.
These risk factors can eventually put people at risk of experiencing heart disease or type 2 diabetes, but targeted intervention and the right care can help reduce these risk factors.
Pulmonary
The lungs—the airways of the body—are comprised of delicate tissue. Inside the lungs, oxygen molecules are dissolved into the blood stream, which is sent to the heart to pump around the body. Lung health is essential to overall health.
Some of these conditions, like inflammatory pulmonary diseases, leads to a buildup of mucus in the lungs, which can block the airway. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis causes scarring of the lungs. These are just a couple of the pulmonary diseases that make breathing difficult, but we’re dedicated to protecting breath for all pulmonary patients.
