Job Scams Notice
At Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, we prioritize the safety and integrity of our hiring process. Please be vigilant against employment scams attempting to misuse the Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals name or the identities of our team members. The information below is provided to help you spot and protect yourself from fraudulent job offers.
Possible Scams to Be on the Lookout For:
Fake Job Offers which require you to pay for training or equipment: Scammers may send you a fake invoice for equipment or training and require you to pay for that training or equipment first. They may promise to reimburse you, but you likely will not be reimbursed because it is a scam. No legitimate job at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals will require you to pay any fees or purchase equipment. We also will not request you to send your personal devices to us for any setup.
Suspicious Communications: Be wary of offers that don’t require an interview, are interviewed via text only, or extend an offer to you without a personal interview or interaction. Official Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals communications will always come from our official domain (@arrowheadpharma.com), not from generic email services, such as gmail or yahoo. Note that scammers often will use similar web domains to legitimate companies, so be vigilant for domain names that include typos or that are different than a company’s official web address. Poorly Written Job Ads: Errors in grammar and spelling in job advertisements or emails could be indicative of a scam, especially if the communication does not originate from an official company web domain (which in the case of Arrowhead is arrowheadpharma.com).
Requests for Personal Information: Scammers may request your personal details such as your driver’s license, social security number or bank account information before they provide you information about a job. This may be used to steal your identity.
What to Do if You Suspect a Scam:
Do Not Engage: If you suspect a job offer is fraudulent, do not respond to the sender.
Do Not Share Personal Information: Never provide sensitive personal information or agree to send money or make purchases.
Report It: Notify our corporate headquarters immediately about the suspicious job offer. You can contact us at 626.304.3400 to verify any communication purported to be from Arrowhead or to report suspicious activities. You can also report the job scam to the Federal Trade Commission or your state attorney general (please find more information here).
